About Pre-2023

b. 1992, Seoul.

Kimberly Young Sun is an interdisciplinary visual artist from New York. In 2014, she graduated with a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts.

Youngsun’s current work centers upon questions of identity that arise throughout her journey as a Korean American adoptee; mixing found documents from her personal archive, alongside photographs to represent the narrative she’s pieced together to express the nuance that comes with transracial adoption.
